Getting to Foresters Arms

Driving to Foresters Arms is quick and easy from many popular southern African destinations. The roads are excellent and most border posts close late in the evening.

DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSPORT! It is vital that you check requirements. Most passports do not require a visa – if you are unsure, please check the VISA LIST

South Africa - ENTRY and EXIT: Travelling with CHILDREN under 18 YEARS

A. Children with SOUTH AFRICAN PASSPORTS require:
Full unabridged Birth Certificate (showing details of both parents)
Children travelling with one parent only, also require: an Affidavit (permission to travel) from the absent parent + a certified copy of the absent parent's passport (or : death certificate).

B. Children with FOREIGN passports:
no birth certificate required.

From Kruger National Park

From the N4, take the R570 to Jeppe's Reef. Continue on the MR3 highway towards Mbabane. Exit at Junction 12 (Mhlambanyatsi). Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi and Foresters Arms.

From Johannesburg / Pretoria

From JHB Airport, take the road towards Boksburg and then the N12 to Witbank/eMahlaleni. Continue on the MR3 highway towards Mbabane. Exit at Junction 12 (Mhlambanyatsi). Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi and Foresters Arms.

From KwaZulu Natal - Durban

Take the N2. After passing Mkuze (33km), turn right to Golela border post. (Look out for the sign). Continue through Manzini. Continue on the MR3 towards Mbabane. Exit at Junction 13. Follow signs to Mhlambanyatsi & Foresters Arms.

From Drakensburg / KwaZulu-Natal

On the northern (Ermelo) side of Piet Retief, turn right towards Houtkop/Emhlathini border post. Continue straight along the dirt road. On the Swaziland side, there is a very good, scenic road. At the T-junction, turn left towards Bhunya. Continue straight to Foresters Arms.

From Maputo/Mozambique

From Maputo take the EN2. At Boane turn left to Goba (This is the border post open 24 hours). Continue through Manzini towards Mbabane. At Mbabane take exit 13 to Mhlambanyatsi.
